The Swedish Final was held on March 9th at Rondo in Gothenburg, hosted by Carin Hjulström. The winner was chosen by 11 regional juries.

Edin-Ådahl came 16th at the ESC. One of the members of the group - Frank Ådahl - was a backing singer for Norway in ESC 1986 and was a member of the choir in the 1986 & 1987 Norwegian Finals. Elisabeth Andreasson represented Sweden at ESC 1982 (in the duo 'Chips') & Norway at ESC 1985 (in the duo 'Bobbysocks'). Lotta Engberg was a backing singer for Sweden in ESC 1984 & represented Sweden at ESC 1987. Carola represented Sweden at ESC 1983.
