The Romanian Final was held at the Palatul Copiilor in Bucharest on March 8th, hosted by Angela Similea and Gabriel Cotabita. The winner was chosen by regional juries.

Monica Anghel previously took part in the 1993 Romanian Final and came 4th & 11th in 1994. She was eliminated in the pre-selection for the ESC. Geanina Olaru was a backing singer for Romania at ESC 1994. Dida Dragan represented Romania in the 1993 pre-selection.
