The Norwegian Final was held on February 27th at the NRK TV Studios in Oslo, hosted by Rune Gokstad & Øystein Bache. The winner was chosen by regional televoting (5/7) & an "expert" jury (2/7).

Van Eijk came 14th at the ESC. One of the members of Gryting was Håvard Gryting who was a backing singer for Norway at ESC 1998. Tor Endresen was a backing singer for Norway at ESC 1988 and represented Norway in 1997.
