The Icelandic Semi-Finals were held at the RUV TV Studios in Reykjavik, hosted by Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir & Gísli Einarsson. Before the semi-finals there were 12 quarter-finals - click here for details: ICELANDIC QUARTER-FINALS 2008 The top 2 songs in each semi-final (chosen by televoting) qualified for the final. Birgitta Haukdal was unable to sing her song with Magni Ásgeirsson in the 1st semi-final as she was on holiday.
