"Ti si son" - Martin Vucic

The Macedonian Final was held at the Universal Hall in Skopje on 19th February, hosted by Karolina Petkovska & Aneta Andanova. Martin Vucic and Aleksandra Pileva each sang 4 songs and the winner was chosen by an "expert" jury, televoting and the audience in the hall (each with a 1/3 weighting) in two rounds of voting. In the first round the best song of each singer was chosen before the winner was chosen in the second round. Aleksandra won the televote in both rounds, while Martin won the "expert" jury & audience votes.

Aleksandra Pileva was a backing singer for Macedonia in ESC 2004. Martin Vucic previously came 10th in the 2004 Serbian Semi-Final. At the ESC, he performed the song in English as "Make my day" and came 17th. The two singers were chosen in two stages - in the first stage, 128 performers were presented to Macedonian Television who selected 6, one of whom (Kaliopi) refused to participate. The 5 performers were then presented on November 7th with the two finalists being selected by televoting (50%) and an "expert" jury (50%) - the results were announced on November 14th.
