The Danish Final was held on February 29th at Aalborghallen in Aalborg, hosted by Anne Cathrine Herdorf & Anders Frandsen. The winner was chosen in two rounds of televoting - the first to select the top 5 and the second to select the winner.

Lotte Nilsson previously came 2nd in the 1983 Danish Final, 3rd in 1984, 2nd in 1988 & 8th in 1989 as half of the duo 'Snapshot'. At the ESC, she & Kenny were 12th. Fenders were the backing group for Anne Cathrine Herdorf at ESC 1987 (as 'Bandjo').
