"Like the wind" - Vanessa Chinitor
The Belgian Final was held on February 28th at the VRT TV Studios in Schelle, hosted by Bart Peeters. Before the final there were 3 semi-finals - click here for details: BELGIAN SEMI-FINALS 1999 Four songs from the semi-finals were joined in the final by four songs that had automatic entry to the final. The winner was chosen by the votes of 5 juries - an "expert" jury, Radio 2 jury, Radio Donna jury, a European jury & televoting.

Vanessa Chinitor came equal 12th at the ESC where one of her backing singers was Linda Williams who represented the Netherlands at ESC 1981.
