The Turkish Final was held on February 21st at the TRT TV Studios in Ankara, hosted by Bülent Özveren.  The winning song was chosen by an "expert" jury of 16 people who each awarded one point to their favourite song.

Vedat Sakman & Seden Kutlubay Arzu Ece & Rüya Ersavci Kayahan Mazhar-Fuat-Özkan

Seyyal Tanner previously came 2nd in the 1986 Turkish Final. At the ESC, she came 22nd. Seden Kutlubay was one of the original members of Klips ve Onlar who won the 1986 Turkish Final, but she refused to go to the ESC and was replaced by Candan Ercetin. Mazhar-Fuat-Özkan represented Turkey in 1985.
