"Mata Hari, the queen of the night in the world's imagination"
The Norwegian Final was held on February 7th at the NRK TV Studios in Oslo, hosted by Jan Voigt. Each of the songs were performed twice - once with a small band and once with an orchestra. The winner was chosen by 10 regional juries.

Anne-Karine Strøm previously represented Norway at ESC 1973 (in the group 'Bendik Singers') & 1974. She also came 10th in the 1971 Norwegian Final, 4th in 1972 & 4th in 1975. At the ESC she was 17th.
