The Israeli Final was held on February 11th at the Jersualem Theatre, hosted by Rivka Michaeli. The winner was chosen by regional juries. At the end of the voting there was a tie for first place which Izhar Cohen won on a re-count of the actual number of votes the individual members of the juries had awarded him.

Izhar Cohen went on to win the ESC. Gidi Gov was a member of the group Poogy that represented Israel at ESC 1974.
