SLOVENIA

The Slovene Heats were held at the RTVSLO TV Studios in Ljubljana, hosted by Klemen Slakonja & Maja Keuc. Each week the singers performed cover versions. 32 singers competed during the first 4 heats and 4 singers in each heat qualified for the 5th & 6th heats - 2 chosen by televoting (indicated by 'T') and 2 chosen by an "expert" jury (indicated by 'J'). Where there was a tie in the jury vote between 2 singers, the one who received the highest top individual marks from the jury qualified. In the 5th & 6th heats, the same procedure applied with 4 singers in each heat qualifying for the 7th heat - 2 chosen by televoting and 2 chosen by an "expert" jury. From heat 7 onwards, one singer was eliminated each week until the 2 finalists were left. In heats 7-10 the "expert" jury saved all but 2 of the singers (indicated by 'J'). The remaining 2 singers performed again and one of them was saved by televoting (indicated by 'T'). In heat 11 the top 2 chosen by televoting qualified for heat 12. The remaining 2 singers performed again and one of them was saved by the "expert" jury. In heat 12 one finalist was chosen by televoting and the other by the "expert" jury.
