"Angel in disguise" - Musiqq
The Latvian Final was held on February 26th at the Juras Varti Theatre House in Ventspils, hosted by Ugis Joksts, Valters Fridenbergs & Jolanta Strikaite. Before the final there were three semi-finals - click here for details: LATVIAN SEMI-FINALS 2011 The winner was chosen in two rounds of voting - firstly to select the top 3 and then to select the winner. The voting in both rounds was a mixture of televoting (50%) and an "expert" jury (50%) - points were awarded in terms of placings (1st place = 1 point etc), therefore the 3 lowest scoring songs progressed to the second round where the lowest scoring song was chosen as the winner. Trianas Parks withdrew from the Latvian Final due to the lead singer being ill.

Musiqq are Emils Balceris & Marats Ogleznevs. Emils was previously a backing singer for Sabine Berezina in the 2008 & 2009 Latvian Finals. Marats was a member of the group 'Device' who took part in the 2006 Latvian Semi-Finals. At the 2nd ESC Semi-Final they came 17th. D-Family included Kaspars Timanis who represented Latvia in ESC 2007 (in the group 'Bonaparti.lv'). Lauris Reiniks represented Latvia in ESC 2003 (in the group 'F.L.Y.').
