The Israeli Final was held on February 17th at the IBA TV Studios in Jerusalem, hosted by Asi Azar & Rotem Sela. Before the final there were 17 shows starting on December 9th. The singers performed cover versions and the winner was chosen in two rounds of voting by a mixture of a mobile phone application and an "expert" jury. In the first round the singers competed in duals. The winner of each dual qualified for the second round alongside one of the losing singers who the "expert" jury awarded a 'wildcard' to the second round where the winner was chosen.

Nadav Guedj came 9th at the ESC. Avia Shoshani was a backing singer for Israel in ESC 2013.
