The Icelandic Final was held on February 15th at Háskólabíó in Reykjavik, hosted by Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir & Guðrún Dís Emilsdóttir. Before the final there were 2 semi-finals - click here for details: ICELANDIC SEMI-FINALS 2014 The winner was chosen in 2 rounds of voting - the first to select the top 2 and the second to select the winner. In the first round the voting was 50% televoting & 50% "expert" jury while in the second round the winner was chosen by televoting alone.

Two members of Pollapönk - Heiðar Örn Kristjánsson & Haraldur Freyr Gíslason - were both members of the group Botnleðja that came 2nd in the 2003 Icelandic Final. Two other members - Guðni Finnsson & Arnar Þór Gíslason were both members of the group Dr. Spock that came 3rd in the 2008 Icelandic Final. At the ESC Pollapönk were 15th.
