The Swedish Semi-Finals were hosted by Gina Dirawi & Hampus Nessvold. In each semi-final there were two rounds of voting, determined by a mobile phone app & televoting. In the first round the song with the most votes qualified for the final. In the second round the result was determined by the mobile phone app where users were split into one of 7 age groupings (7/8) & televoting (1/8). The results of the 1st and 2nd rounds of voting were then combined to decide which song qualified for the 'Second Chance Vote' in the 5th semi-final. In the 'Second Chance Vote', two more songs qualified for the final - the first qualifier was determined by awarding points based on the percentage of votes each song received in their semi-final. The second qualifier was chosen by adding these votes to those of a new voting round.
