The Norwegian Semi-Finals were hosted by Marte Stokstad & Per Sundnes. The top 3 songs in each semi-final (chosen by televoting) qualified for the final. After the 3 semi-finals were held, an "expert" jury awarded one of the losing songs a 'wildcard' to the final.

One of the members of 'United' was Benedicte Adrian who represented Norway in ESC 1984 in the duo 'Dollie De Luxe' who also came came 6th in the 1981 Norwegian Final & 10th in 1982 (as 'Dollie').
