The Swedish Final was held in Stockholm on March 14th, hosted by Anders Malmberg & Claes Malmberg. The 10 songs were reduced to 5 finalists, and once these 5 had been performed again they were voted on by 11 regional juries.

Christer Björkman came 22nd at the ESC. Kikki Danielsson represented Sweden in ESC 1982 (as half of the duo Chips) and 1985.
