The Slovene Final was held on February 15th at the Gospodarsko Razstavisce in Ljubljana, hosted by Miša Molk & Peter Poles. The winner was chosen in two rounds of voting - in the first round the top 3 songs were chosen by televoting (50%) and an international jury (50%). Then the top 3 songs were performed again and the winner was chosen by televoting.

Jadranka Juras Nusa Derenda Platin

Karmen Stavec previously came 7th in the 1998 Slovene Final, equal 3rd in 2001 & 2nd in 2002. She was also a backing singer for Slovenia in ESC 1998. At the ESC, she came 23rd. Jadranka Juras was a backing singer for Slovenia in the 2002 ESC while Nusa Derenda represented Slovenia in ESC 2001.
