Monica Anghel previously took part in the 1993 Romanian Final, came 4th & 11th in 1994, 1st, 8th & 10th in 1996, 2nd in 1998 & 3rd in 2000. Marcel Pavel came 9th in the 1998 Romanian Final. At the ESC, Monica and Marcel came 9th.
