"Fairytale" - Alexander Rybak
The Norwegian Final was held on February 21st at the Spektrum in Oslo, hosted by Per Sundnes & Maria Haukaas Storeng. Before the final there were 4 semi-finals - click here for details: NORWEGIAN SEMI-FINALS 2009 The winner was chosen in two rounds of voting - the first to select the top 4, and the second to select the winner. In the first round, televoting alone decided the top 4, while in the second round the winner was chosen by 4 regional "expert" juries and televoting.

Alexander Rybak went on to win ESC 2009. Velvet Inc. included Charlotte Øverland Våset who was a backing dancer for Norway in ESC 1999.
