The Estonian Final was held on February 3rd at the ETV Studios in Tallinn, hosted by Marko Reikop & Elektra. The winning song was chosen by an international "expert" jury.

Tanel Padar was previously a backing singer for Estonia at ESC 2000. He and Dave Benton went on to win ESC 2001. One of the members of 'Soul Control' was Maiken who was also a backing singer for Estonia at ESC 2000. Maian Kärmas was a backing singer for Estonia at ESC 1999.
