The Danish Final was held on February 11th at the Gigantium Arena in Aalborg, hosted by Adam Duvå Hall & Mads Vangsø. The winner was chosen in two rounds of televoting - the first to select the top 5 and the second to select the winner.

Sidsel Ben Semmane came 18th at the ESC. Søren Poppe represented Denmark in ESC 2001 in the duo 'Rollo & King'. One member of the group Neighbours - Helge Engelbrecht - represented Denmark in ESC 1987 as a member of the group Bandjo. One of Kim Schwartz's backing singers was Dario Campeotto who represented Denmark in ESC 1961. Trine Jepsen represented Denmark in ESC 1999.
