The Cypriot Final was held on January 12th at the PIK TV Studios in Nicosia, hosted by Andreas Ektoras. The winner was chosen by televoting (60%) and an "expert" jury (40%).

Evdokia Kadi came 15th in the 2nd ESC Semi-Final. Marlain Angelidou represented Cyprus in ESC 1999 while Constantinos Andronikou was a backing singer for Cyprus in ESC 2006.
