Daniel previously took part in the 1975 Yugoslav Semi-Final (as Milovan Popovic) & was equal 11th in the 1976 Yugoslav Final as a member of the group Entuzijasti. At the ESC he was 4th. His backing singers at the ESC were the Barudzija Sisters (Eleonora & Izolda). Izolda had already represented Yugoslavia at ESC 1982 as a member of Aska.
