"Ne mogu skriti svoju bol" - Ambasadori
The Yugoslav Final was held at the Hotel Kvarner in Opatija on February 20th & 21st, hosted by Oliver Mlakar. All 21 songs were performed on February 20th (broadcast on the radio only) and 14 of the songs qualified for the televised final on February 21st. The winning song was chosen by a jury of 8 "experts" who voted on all 21 of the songs, awarding each a mark between 1-10.

Ambasadori previously took part in the 1973 & 1975 Yugoslav Semi-Finals. At the ESC they were 18th. Dubrovacki Trubaduri represented Yugoslavia at ESC 1968. Pepel In Kri represented Yugoslavia at ESC 1975 when Oto Pester was one of the group members.
