The Swiss Final was held on January 25th at the DRS TV Studios in Zürich, hosted by Paola. The winner was chosen by 3 regional juries, a press jury & an "expert" jury.

Daniela Simons previously came 9th in the 1983 Swiss Final & 2nd in 1985. At the ESC, she was 2nd. One of the members of Lily Lilas was Véronique Müller who represented Switzerland at ESC 1972.
