The Norwegian Final was held on April 7th at Château Neuf in Oslo, hosted by Sissel Keyn Lodding. The winning song was chosen by the votes of 5 juries, with each jury being split according to the age of its members.

Dollie De Luxe previously came 6th in the 1981 Norwegian Final & 10th in 1982 (as 'Dollie'). At the ESC, they were 17th. Ellen Nikolaysen represented Norway in ESC 1973 (in the Bendik Singers) & 1975.
