The Portuguese Final was held on March 4th at the Estúdio da Tóbis in Lisbon, hosted by Maria Fernanda & Henrique Mendes. The winner was chosen by the votes of 18 regional juries.

Carlos Mendes came equal 11th at the ESC. António Calvário represented Portugal at ESC 1964. Simone de Oliveira represented Portugal at ESC 1965.
