"Solhverv" - Nora Brockstedt
The Norwegian Final was held on February 10th at the NRK TV Studios in Oslo, hosted by Odd Grythe. Each of the songs were performed twice - firstly with a small band, and secondly with an orchestra. Nora Brockstedt should have gone on to perform the song at the ESC, but she claimed she couldn't go because of other engagements, although it's rumoured she feared getting a bad score with "Solhverv", so Anita Thallaug was chosen to go to the ESC instead.

Anita Thallaug previously took part in the 1962 Norwegian Final. At the ESC she was equal 13th. Nora Brockstedt represented Norway in ESC 1960 & 1961.
