"Siren song" - Maruv
The Ukrainian Final was held on February 23rd at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, hosted by Sergiy Prytula. Before the final there were two semi-finals - click here for details: UKRAINIAN SEMI-FINALS 2019 The winner was chosen by an "expert" jury (50%) & televoting (50%). On February 25th Maruv couldn't reach an agreement with Ukrainian TV regarding the contract they wanted her to sign in order to participate in the ESC. Subsequent offers made by Ukrainian TV to Freedom Jazz & Kazka to represent Ukraine were both refused. Consequently on February 27th, Ukrainian TV withdrew from ESC 2019.
