The Swedish Semi-Finals were hosted by Jesper Rönndahl & Farah Abadi. The results were determined by a mobile phone app & televoting. The first 4 semi-finals had two rounds of voting - in the first round the song with the most votes qualified for the final. In the second round the result was determined by the mobile phone app where users were split into one of 7 age groupings (7/8) & televoting (1/8). The winner of the second round qualified for the final while the 2nd & 3rd placed songs went forward to the 5th semi-final where they had a second chance to qualify for the final. In the 5th semi-final the top 4 qualified for the final - this result was determined by the mobile phone app where users were split into one of 7 age groupings (7/8) & televoting (1/8).
