"Made of stars" - Hovi Star
The Israeli Final was held on March 3rd at the G.G. TV Studios in Neve Ilan near Jerusalem, hosted by Asi Azar & Rotem Sela. Before the final there were 24 shows, starting on December 5th. The winner was chosen in two rounds of voting. In the first round the singers competed in duals singing cover versions. The winner of each dual, chosen by a mixture of a mobile phone application and an "expert" jury qualified for the second round alongside one of the losing singers who the "expert" jury awarded a 'wildcard' to the second round. In the second round the potential ESC entries were performed and the winner was chosen by a mobile phone application.
