The Icelandic Semi-Finals were held at Háskólabíó in Reykjavik, hosted by Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir. The top 3 songs in each semi-final, chosen by televoting qualified for the final. At the end of the 2nd semi-final an "expert" jury awarded one of the losing songs a 'wildcard' to the final.
