The Icelandic Final was held on February 2nd at Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik, hosted by Þórhallur Gunnarsson & Guðrún Dís Emilsdóttir. Before the final there were 2 semi-finals - click here for details: ICELANDIC SEMI-FINALS 2013 The winner was chosen in 2 rounds of voting - the first to select the top 2 and the second to select the winner. In the first round the voting was 50% televoting & 50% "expert" jury while in the second round the winner was chosen by televoting alone.

Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson came 17th at the ESC. Amongst the backing group for Magni Ásgeirsson was Benedikt Brynleifsson who represented Iceland in ESC 2011. Birgitta Haukdal represented Iceland in ESC 2003. Amongst her backing singers was Kristján Gíslason who represented Iceland in ESC 2001.
