The German shows were held at the Brainpool TV Studios in Cologne, hosted by Sandra Rieß & Steven Gätjen. Twenty singers competed in the first 2 shows and the top 5 in each qualified for the third show. From then onwards 1 or 2 contestants were eliminated in each show. All of the results were determined by televoting.
