The Estonian Semi-Finals were held at the ERR TV Studios in Tallinn, hosted by Piret Järvis. The top 5 in each semi-final, chosen by televoting (50%) and an "expert" jury (50%) qualified for the final.

Soul Militia were backing singers for Estonia in ESC 2001 (as the group '2XL').
Orelipoiss (Jaan Pehk) was a member of the group Ruffus who represented Estonia in ESC 2003. Amongst his backing group was Vaiko Eplik who was the lead singer of Ruffus in ESC 2003.
