The Estonian Final was held on March 12th at the Nokia Concert Hall in Tallinn, hosted by Ott Sepp & Märt Avandi. The winner was chosen in two rounds of voting. In the first round the top 2 songs were chosen by televoting (50%) and an "expert" jury (50%). In the second round the winner was chosen by televoting.

Malcolm Lincoln came 14th at the 1st ESC Semi-Final. One of the members of Violina was Daana Ots who represented Estonia in ESC 2005 (in the group 'Suntribe'). Lead singer of 'Disko 4000' was Piret Järvis who represented Switzerland in ESC 2005 (as a member of the group 'Vanilla Ninja'). Lenna Kuurmaa represented Switzerland in ESC 2005 (as lead singer of the group 'Vanilla Ninja').
