The Azeri Final was held on February 11th at the Akhundov Azerbaijan State Academic Opera & Ballet Theater in Baku, hosted by Leyla Aliyeva. The final was solely to select the singer to represent Azerbaijan in the ESC - the song was chosen afterwards. Before the final there was a semi-final - click here for details: AZERI SEMI-FINAL 2011 The contestants performed a "World Hit", an "Azeri Hit", a ESC entry and a song of their own choice. The winners were chosen by an "expert" jury who decided to send a duet to the ESC.
